In response to many tweets, I really do not care what would be the name of a new genuine socialist party and whether it will incorporate existing socialist outfits. It is clear that the Left in the party supported Jeremy and McDonald - and they can be a base for a new party.

It is high time to break down the Labour party into a Momentum party and a Blarite party. British politics in ten years time would be based on coalitions and will not be bi-partisan. So this is a good time to re-build a proper party on the left.

It would be a terrible mistake for Corbyn to participate in a leaders' debate organised by SKY. SKY is the British Fox news station that conducts the same smear campaign against Corbyn as Fox did against Obama. They do not deserve a prize for this.

The US support for UNRWA was not an act of generosity. The USA in 1950 was behind the establishment of the Agency, with a promise that its creation would lead to the implementation of resolution 194 (11 December 1948).

The resolution called for the unconditional return of the Palestinian refugees. UNRWA can only be dismantled if that resolution would be respected. The recent Trump decision is a break for the American commitment and responsibility and is made in the service of Israel.

Avenri was a left Zionist. there were and are two 'peace camps' or 'left' in Israel. Those who recognize that the Nakba was the worst crime Zionism committed against the Palestinians and those who regard the 1967 occupation as the source of all evil, but deny the Nakba.

Avenri took part in the ethnic cleansing, never admitted it or repented for it. This was a pity as he was very influential on the Israeli Left. On the other hand, he was a brave opponent of the occupation and for this we should be grateful for his work and activism.
