This weekend, another significant winter storm is forecast to impact the Mid-Atlantic and Northeast U.S. Sunday through Monday. New Jersey to southeastern New England may experience blizzard conditions, with heavy snowfall and strong winds. Today, @POTUS Trump directed @FEMA and @EPA to provide emergency assistance to the District of Columbia as they work to protect people from the effects of the recent spill in the Potomac. @EPALeeZeldin and I will stay in close contact to ensure coordinated federal support to the District.   FEMA is deploying a team to support incident management, working directly with local officials and federal partners to coordinate federal resources. EPA will lead the federal response while @DHSgov and FEMA leverage all our resources to ensure the cleanup is swift and effective. Even as Democrat politicians shut us down and these men and women go without pay, DHS is committed to providing much needed aid to the Americans impacted by this disaster. We will not let our citizens suffer without help.

An innocent American has lost their life because a criminal illegal alien attempted to evaded arrest. Yesterday in Savannah, Georgia, ICE conducted a traffic stop to arrest Oscar Vasquez Lopez, a criminal illegal alien from Guatemala. He was issued a final order of removal by a federal judge in 2024. When Lopez fled the scene, he made a reckless U-turn and collided with a civilian’s vehicle. The civilian driver sustained fatal injuries. Lopez is now in custody and is being charged by the Chatham County Police Department with vehicular homicide. Democrats in Congress have shut down @FEMA funding—leaving our hard working employees to work without pay—yet FEMA is now stepping in to coordinate cleanup of one of the largest raw sewage spills in U.S. history. Thanks to gross mismanagement by Maryland's Democrat leaders, hundreds of millions of gallons of raw sewage has reportedly been dumped into the Potomac River—flowing straight through our nation's capital and endangering millions of people, wildlife, and the entire DC region's water supply. Democrats are withholding paychecks from the men and women of @dhsgov while they clean up this Democrat-created disaster. Unbelievable hypocrisy.

Happy Presidents’ Day, America! Today we honor the bold leaders whose dedication to service built the greatest nation in history. This year, we are blessed to be under the leadership of @POTUS Trump as he fights tirelessly to secure our border and make our nation safe again.

It must be exhausting to regularly manufacture outrage even over the most commonsense statements. Yes, we must build election infrastructure that makes it easy and secure for eligible American citizens to vote—while preventing non-citizens, including illegal aliens, from casting ballots. The choice of who to vote for is obviously up to the voters themselves. So here's the real question for @jaketapper @jonkarl and anyone else clutching pearls over this: Do you actually support allowing people who are in this country illegally to vote in our elections?

Yesterday, I had the honor of meeting with Angel Families who lost their loved ones to criminal illegal aliens, as well as touring the @CBP Otay Mesa Drug Vault. @POTUS Trump securing the border and empowering this nation's law enforcement has given us the lowest murder rate in over a HUNDRED years, as well as preventing MILLIONS of lethal doses of fentanyl from touching Americans. I am proud of the work that @DHSgov does to save American lives. We will continue to fight to protect the homeland.

We will either fix our nation’s election issues or we will no longer have a nation to save. The vast majority of Americans support election integrity efforts enacted by the SAVE Act, passed by the House earlier this week. This critical legislation ensures ID requirements to vote — a common sense measure that ensures our elections are fair and secure. Under the leadership of @POTUS Trump, we will keep fighting to ensure only American Citizens decide American Elections.

The men and women of @CBP do lifesaving work at Otay Mesa, and everywhere. There are over 1.7 billion lethal doses of cocaine and fentanyl confiscated and sealed in this vault – potentially saving 1.7 billion lives. Shutting down DHS over @ICEgov, which is only 11% of our budget, shows that those politicians either don’t realize the full scope of our national security missions — or just don’t care.

Dalilah, a caring and vivacious child, suffered critical, life changing injuries caused by an illegal alien driving an 18-wheeler. What happened to Dalilah Coleman is a tragedy, and it’s one that could have been PREVENTED if California did not grant commercial driver’s licenses to illegal aliens. Illegal aliens, often unable to comprehend our road signs and traffic laws, have zero business being behind the wheel of a vehicle weighing tens of thousands of pounds. DHS is working every day to remove dangerous aliens who have no right to be in the U.S.
