This idea that the Russians are going to invade Svalbard, or somehow threaten to occupy Greenland is such unbelievable nonsense. No Russian is talking about that. What could they possibly gain? Some of the military experts in Britain, on the one hand, say that the Russian army is so weak and so demoralised and the Russian fleet has been defeated by the Ukrainians… And they say Russia is so weak that if we only give some more support for the Ukrainians and reject peace and carry on, Russia will collapse. On the other hand, Russia is so strong and the Russian navy is so strong that it can attack Norway and occupy Svalbard and threaten Britain.
