Today is the birthday of my beloved friend John Lewis. He was the most respected member of Congress for his lifetime commitment to nonviolence and public change. It was the honor of a lifetime to serve with him. He taught me to get into “good trouble.” I think of him often.

I know we've all gotten used to trump's deranged daily rants, but hearing him repeatedly say "I can do anything I want... I can DESTROY the country" is unnerving, and way worse than Biden's bad debate. He gets worse every day. And none of this is normal.

It brings me no joy to say this but given the presidents shocking announcement that the Supreme Court is compromised by foreign interests, the next president will have no choice but to replace all 9 members with new justices who have no foreign entanglements.
