JUST IN: The Gauteng Department of Education has issued a statement dismissing claims that the DBE website admits foreign children without documentation.
The department failed to explain why hundreds of people have successfully enrolled their South African children in schools by posing as foreign nationals with no documents. It also failed to address the fact that the DBE website has not been updated—the date still shows 2025, even though the actual date below it confirms otherwise.
The department clearly does not understand how their website works or how to read it.

The DBE website uses a light brown colour to indicate the application date, along with the system auto-generated reference.
