Learned Judicial Magistrate Malir has called a report from CTD Karachi tomorrow on the alleged encounter of Hamdan on application of his father to conduct an inquiry into his custodial death under Section 176 CrPC.

Muhammad Ali the father of Hamdan who was killed in an encounter on 17th Feb while in custody of CTD Karachi has moved an application with Director FIA Karachi Zone, DG FIA and NCHR to investigate the death under the Torture and Custodial Death (Prevention and Punishment) Act 2022. Under Section 176 CrPC the area Magistrate of PS Shah Latif is also mandatorily obliged to conduct an inquiry into custodial deaths, yet to family's knowledge no post mortem has been conducted of Hamdan or Jalil and Niaz the two other men who were also killed while in custody of CTD.

Baloch Voice for Justice strongly condemns the enforced disappearance of Ali Ahmed Reki, son of Rasheed Ahmed, a 40 year old teacher from Surab, abducted on 24 January 2026 from Ganjh Chowk, Spini Road, Quetta by CTD. We also condemn the enforced disappearance of Dr Shahzain Ahmed, son of Ghulam Haider, a 25 year old doctor from Surab, abducted on the same day and location by CTD. Their whereabouts remain unknown.
Baloch Voice for Justice further condemns the enforced disappearance of Junaid Ahmed, son of Ali Ahmed, a 22 year old student from Surab, abducted on 23 January 2026 from Children’s Hospital, Querry Road, Quetta by CTD. These cases reflect a clear pattern of abuse. We must demand accountability and the immediate recovery of all victims.
